Linda Gaskill Texas Hold’Em

RUMFORD — The second annual Linda Gaskill Texas Hold’Em poker tournament will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Rumford Eagles Hall.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., and admission is $50.

Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Good toys needed for Christmas sale

LIVERMORE FALLS — Friends Together is accepting good used toys for its Christmas sale.

The group will wash toys and put new batteries in if necessary. Dolls will be washed and their hair will be fixed. Clothes will be made or purchased if they don’t have outfits.

Those with toys may drop them off at 31 Park St. If no one is there, donations may be left at the back door.

Space up for grabs at fair

NORWAY — Christ Episcopal Church is taking reservations for table or space rentals for its annual holiday fair Saturday, Nov. 19.

Church group offering assistance

WEST PARIS — The ladies of the Goodwill Fellowship of the First Universalist Church of West Paris are seeking people who would like help with tending to the graves of loved ones in the towns of West Paris, Woodstock and South Paris.

The women can place silk flowers on graves for Memorial Day, and/or a wreath on graves before Christmas. Each spring they rake up debris and remove weeds.

The service is a fundraiser for the church.
