1922 – 2016

LEWISTON — Carmen Giasson, 94, of Lewiston died Monday, Oct. 3, at Montello Manor.

She was born in Lewiston on July 31, 1922, a daughter of the late Camile and Maria (Letourneau) Fontaine.

Carmen enjoyed gardening, painting, canning and just enjoying being outdoors. Carmen was a homemaker most of her life, raising her family. After her family grew up, she worked at a local shoe shop.

Carmen is survived by her daughter, Patty Ducharme; her son, Roland Giasson; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Carmen was predeceased by her husband, Albert; and a daughter, Arlene.
