AUBURN — Ruth C. Davis, 89, of Schooner Estates died Tuesday, Oct. 4, at her home, with her husband at her side.
Born Cheyenne, Wyo., May 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Carl A. and Ruth M. Davis Cinnamon, she was educated in Laramie, Wyo. schools and graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
Ruth was a life member of Hadassah, a member of the Faith Bible Chapel in Buckfield, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
She deeply loved her husband and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and welcoming in her great-grandchildren. Ruth will be remembered for her kind, thoughtful heart and her sweet, strong spirit. She was an amazing presence and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Davis of Auburn, whom she married May 16, 1953; daughters, Carolyn Hargis and husband, Norm, of Rock Spring, Wyo., Deborah Mossberg and husband, Tom, of Ridgecrest, Calif., Elizabeth Davis of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Heather Robinson and husband, Derek, Megan Dugas and husband, Nathan, Michelle Campbell and husband, Vern, Matthew Mossberg, David Mossberg and Isel Saenz, Katie Davis and Jake Vogel, Noah Davis; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Learson; sister-in-law, JoAnn Cinnamon; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Paul J. Davis; and by her brother, Carl D. Cinnamon.
