LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice was recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine by the Society for Human Resource Management, Maine State Council and Best Companies Group.
The award was presented Oct. 4 at a ceremony at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.
The 2016 Best Places to Work in Maine list is made up of 75 companies in three categories: small (15-49 U.S. employees), medium (50-249 U.S. employees) and large (250-plus U.S. employees).
AHCH was honored in the large employer division. The agency began applying for this award every other year since 2006 and has been selected as a recipient each time.
The Best Places to Work in Maine designation is determined through a rigorous two-part evaluation. The first consists of a thorough review of workplace policies, practices and demographics. This counts for 25 percent of the overall score. A survey of employees that measures the employee experience makes up the remaining 75 percent of the score. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Maine and analyzed the data to determine the final rankings.
