BETHEL — A new business envisioned by three local men is off to a roaring start, and several reviews said their product is egg-ceptional.

Having already raised over $20,000 through a Kickstarter campaign, the company is close to its goal of $25,000, but must raise the remainder before 8:08 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, to receive any funding.

The New Eggspectation company was born out of a lack of ingredients one busy night. Brian Zinchuk, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran born and raised in Bethel and creator of the budding business, was cooking eggs for his family and realized he didn’t have anything to add to them. He began researching products that can spice up scrambled eggs. After finding none, he decided to create his own.

Joined by his brother, Kevin Zinchuk and friend Tim Nathansan, the three created Scrambled with Ease, a dried mixture of meat, veggies and dairy that can be added to eggs. The mixture comes in five flavors: original, veggie, sausage and onion with cheese, southern style and meat lovers.

The creators hope the product will appeal to a wide range of consumers, from busy parents with little time for gourmet cooking to campers, college students and fitness enthusiasts. Scrambled with Ease can also be added to powdered eggs to make them “more palatable,” Brian Zinchuk said.
