1958 – 2016

AUBURN — Mark A. Doustout “Big Mark,” 58, went home to be with his mom, dad and Roger on Saturday, Oct. 8. He passed at his residence with his wife, Sonny; and his sister, Pat; and special family at his side. They are current residents of Auburn but Mark formerly lived in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 31, 1958, the son of Arthur and Sonia (Bolduc) Doustout. He was raised by Albert and Sonia Pache.

Mark received his GED from Lewiston High School.

He recieved a special award from Gerry Brison Valley Pool League for sportsmanship and also an award from Maine Auto Radiator for doing specialty cores. He retired from Maine Auto Radiator.

Mark married Sonny Grenier on Oct. 12, 2002.

He was active in Maine Valley Pool League. Was captain of 20M Club Bad Boys for more than 20 years. Bad Boys was much more than a pool team; it was a family — a family that was joined by Get A Cue. Mark enjoyed all those Saturdays with his family and his brothers. It was more than pool and when the Bad Boys play at the Get A Cue — girls, look out! What a party. It was like Christmas Day, great food, great fun, and great family belonging to the 20M Club. Mark was a member of 20M Club, New Auburn Social Club, Pastime Club, Derby Athletic Club and former member of Mid Town Social Club and Hurricane Social Club, and a few more, but it was before Sonny’s time with Mark. Even heard that he came with a club when the Centre Ville bought the Centre Ville. Mark came with the building as a bouncer.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sonny; daughters, Danielle A. Doustout, Nicole J. Raftelis and significant other, Thomas Orlinger; son, Mark A. Doustout and significant other, Krista L. Carpenter: sisters, Patricia Doustout and wife, Joan Poissonnier, Christine Peterson and husband, Spencer; grandchildren, Sonia M., Keith D., Kyle D., and Ezra Cash Olinger; adopted kids, Jenn Grenier, Josh Leger, Joey Emond and Katie Kenney; stepson, Kenyen Moore; former spouses, Nila Doustout and Dawn Bergeron; lots of special friends; and dog, Zeeva.

He was predeceased by mom and stepdad, Sonia and Albert Pache; father, Authur Doustout; and little brother, Roger A. Doustout.

Mark was surely Sonny’s “Knight in Shining Armor” because he truly let her know that “dreams do come true.” We did live happily ever after. Till now. Till we meet again, “I love you, Mr. Doustout” 34.
