1942 – 2016
GRAY — Barbara H. Tibbetts, 73, of Gray passed away Friday, Oct. 14.
She was born Oct. 23, 1942, the daughter of Verner and Chester Hobbs. She grew up in New Gloucester and and graduated New Gloucester High in 1960. The went on to Graduate Golden Beauty School in 1961. She then applied her trade for the next 45 plus years.
She met and married Robert L. Tibbetts Sr. of Norway, moved to Poland and then to Gray to which she called home and raised their two sons, Robert and Richard, for the next 46 years. She enjoyed many activities including horseback riding, knitting, crocheting, scrap booking being a part of the 4-H organization of which she worked for the cooperative extension for several years. She made many lifelong friends along the way and many others who she touched with her kindness. She wanted all to know she had a good life and had no regrets.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert; her sister, Jana Scotia; and her mother and father.
She leaves behind her two sons, Robert of Auburn and Richard of Gray; her daughter, Rhonda Copp of North Carolina; as well her seven grandchildren, Ryan, Mathew, and Patrick Copp, Thomas, Victoria, Elizabeth and Sophie Tibbetts.
