1922 – 2016

LEWISTON — Lucien R. Laroche, 94, a resident of Eustis Street, Lewiston, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 14, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born in Lewiston, March 10, 1922, the son of Alfred and Georgiana (Therrien) Laroche. Lucien was a United States Army veteran of World War II, and following the war married the former Cecile Beaudoin.

He was employed for many years at Central Distributors, until his retirement, and later devoted his time working as a local driver for area funeral homes.

Survivors include two sons, Marcel Laroche and his wife, Debbie, of Lewiston and Roger Laroche of New Britain, Conn.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile, five sisters and two brothers.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion for the loving care given to Lucien during his convalescence.
