PARIS — The Paris Public Library invites adults and young adults to an apron workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.

Fabric, including some holiday prints, needles and thread will be available. Participants may bring their own cloth to use, but at least one yard is required. The fabric does not need to be prewashed. Bring common pins, scissors and, if needed, a thimble.

On Oct. 25, the body of the apron will be formed from a square and handsewn using a whip stitch, running stitch or “almost invisible” stitch. All stitches will be demonstrated. On Nov. 1, a contrasting pocket, neckband and ties will be added.

To assure there is sufficient fabric for participants, please call the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 to register. Selection of fabric, space and time will allow for 10 participants.
