The Slambovian Circus of Dreams will perform a pre-Halloween concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Chocolate Church Arts Center, 804 Washington St., Bath. Founded in Sleepy Hollow, New York, in 1998, the band brings together string and wind instruments and accordion with vocals. Its musical stylings combine Neil Young with The Incredible String Band and adds a dash of Frank Zappa. The band taps a broad palette of styles and entertains with an extensive instrumental arsenal (accordion, cello, mandolin, theremin). “Their concert will have a visual presentation to underscore the music,” Jennifer DeChant, Chocolate Church executive director, said. “We will be able to support the show with recent improvements in our sound and lighting systems.” Tickets are $20 advance and $24 at the door. They can be purchased by calling 207-442-8455 or by visiting www.chocolatechurcharts.org.
