AUBURN — At 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, the Edward Little High School Music Department is hosts a marching band field show at Walton Field in New Auburn. The event features 11 high school marching bands and the University of Maine marching band. The following high schools will perform: Sanford, Salem New Hampshire, Somersworth, New Hampshire , Marshwood, Wells, South Portland, Lawrence, Westbrook, Dover New Hampshire, Old Orchard Beach and Edward Little. The cost of admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens or $20 for a family. In the event of rain, the show will be moved to the ELHS gym.
The performing students will demonstrate intricate field marching and colorful flags and elements by the colorguard. Each band will be evaluated using a 5-star rating scale by a panel of five judges from the Massachusetts Judges Association. This year the Edward Little H.S. marching band is performing a show based on the theme of “Music Through the Ages.” The band’s program includes the songs “Play that Funky Music,” “Billie Jean,” “Hallelujah,” and “We Found Love.”For more information, contact Edward Little HS band director, Bill Buzza at the school: 333-6652.
