LEWISTON — A Funeral Mass honoring the life of Lucien R. Laroche was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Holy Cross Church following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Cartwright celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. During the Mass, the First Reading was read by his granddaughter, Julie O’Brien, the Second Reading was read by his niece, Susan Laroche, and the Prayer of the Faithful was read by his grandson, Dan O’Brien. The offertory was brought to the altar by granddaughters, Jessica Dufault and Angela Marcotte.

Following the committal prayers, the U.S. Army played taps and presented our country’s flag to his son, Roger Laroche. The pallbearers were Michael, Timothy, Christopher and Gerry Laroche, Brian Dufault, Paul Pelletier and Roger Mercier.

A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the services at the cemetery.
