It seems some school children are not standing up in the morning to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. I spoke with Lewiston School Superintendent Bill Webster and was told that students don’t have to stand because of students’ rights.

Hey, this is America. A student, and I mean any student, who doesn’t want to stand up during the Pledge should go live elsewhere. Oh, and the parents can go, too.

Students get schooling and many other benefits provided by this country. Their parents should teach them to be respectful.

This is a time when we should all be standing up for America.
