LEWISTON — Five of Maine’s funniest up-and-coming comedians will perform at The Dolard & Priscilla Gendron Franco Center’s Fall Comedy Showcase at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at 46 Cedar St.

Lewiston comedian Dawn Hartill will host. Featured will be Tuck Tucker, Connor McGrath, Will Green and R.A. Sweeney.

Tucker is one of the funniest comics to come out of New England in the last decade. He combines his verbal wit and physical comedy to present a recipe for fall-off-your-chair funny.

McGrath, of Portland,  is a truly unique voice in the comedy scene, winning over audiences with tales of lost love and fragrant banks.

Green is a founding member of The Portland Comedy Co-op and has toured from Portland to Chicago.

Sweeney is relatively new to the comedy scene. He is a storyteller and performs at comedy venues throughout southern Maine.

Hartill is the 2016 winner of the Strand Cup Comedy Competition and was a quarterfinalist in The Couch Summer Comedy Classic in Portland.

Admission is $5 at the door, and includes parking. Proceeds benefit the Franco Center. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the box office from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, at www.francocenter.org, or by calling 207-783-1585.

The show will be held in Heritage Hall, through the Oxford Street entrance. The center is wheelchair-accessible.
