LEWISTON — The Telephone Association of New England has announced it has named Dawna Hannan, Oxford Networks’ vice president of human resources and regulatory affairs, as the 2016 inductee to its Hall of Fame.

The annual award has been an integral part of TANE’s history since 1989. The honor provides “special recognition to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the telecommunications industry in New England.”

Hannan has been in the telecommunications industry for 35 years, and joined Oxford Networks in 1994. Under her tenure at Oxford Networks, the organization was named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine five years straight, from 2006 to 2010.

Hannan serves on the board of directors for the Telecommunications Association of Maine and has served as its past president. She also chairs the State of Maine E-911 Council, is vice chairwoman on the board of directors for the United Way of Androscoggin County, and serves on Central Maine Medical Center’s associates board. She is a resident of Greene.
