Parade of Jack-o’-Lanterns
AUBURN — The Parade of Jack-o’-Lanterns will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29 and 30, at Wallingford’s Fruit House, 1240 Perkins Ridge Road.
The event is in its 16th year, and has collected more than $50,000 for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
Community members can join local schools, carve a pumpkin for the event and drop it off at Wallingford’s from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.
A free carving station is also available.
The event is free to the public, but donations are accepted. All proceeds will help Maine children.
Hunters breakfast for opening day
BUCKFIELD — The Buckfield American Legion will serve a hunters breakfast from 5 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
Homemade doughnuts will be included.
The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds will be used for American Legion programming.
Salute to Veterans Nov. 10
LEWISTON — The Exchange Club of Auburn will host its seventh annual Salute to Veterans lunch at noon on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Green Ladle at Lewiston High School, 156 East Ave.
This free lunch will feature a talk by Brig. Gen. Robert Carmichael.
Those planning on attending should RSVP by Friday, Nov. 4.
