DEAR SUN SPOTS: I like to take my groceries home in paper bags and so have quite a number of them to give to organizations who could use them. Please call 207-783-2324. List your name, phone number or email and I will get in touch with you. — Claire, Lewiston.

ANSWER: The crafting possibilities are endless. Paper bags can be used for all kinds of projects. A classroom, child care, Sunday school, after-school program, etc., could certainly make creative use of your collection. One might also consider using them as gift wrap, with the holidays right around the corner. Brown paper tied with a big red bow makes a very pretty package. If any organization could use these paper bags, please contact Claire.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: “A reunion is a coming together that strengthens the bond and is like a gift of belonging.” Another gathering of the girls who went to the Marcotte Home/St. Joseph’s Orphanage is being planned for Nov. 12.
