AUGUSTA — State police in Maine say the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were shut down after a tractor trailer carrying mail turned on its side in Augusta.
Police say the truck was carrying mail to Bangor when it overturned at 5:15 a.m. Friday. The mail was later offloaded onto a second truck that will complete the delivery.
State troopers say the driver veered off the road onto the shoulder and the truck overturned. He suffered minor injuries.
Police say the wrecked truck was being removed, necessitating a shutdown of both lanes in the northbound direction.
