What is the most pressing problem in your district and what do you plan to do about it?

The loss of the manufacturing in this town leaves a hole which I hope to help fill by taking advantage of our easy access to the large population centers here. I would like to see housing development around what is call “Agrihood,” a blending of organic farming and housing.

Gov. Paul LePage wants to eliminate the state income tax. Do you support that? If not, why not?

No, because all the user taxes I have seen proposed are regressive. Income tax, though not fun for any of us, takes more from those who have been successful in this country and more able to contribute.

Are you willing to support raising the fuel tax to fix Maine roads? If not, why not?

I’m not sure. Part of the problem is that with more and more hybrid and electric cars; this fuel tax no longer supports in an balanced way. I do though, agree we must do something to make Maine roads safer and our traveling better.

What methods do you support to reduce opiate addiction in Maine?
