1926 – 2016
LEWISTON — Juliana V. Pomerleau, 90, of 36 Avalon St., Lewiston, died Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, following a brief illness and with her family by her side.
Born in Lewiston on June 19, 1926, she was the daughter of Donat and Dolores Paquette Beaucage. She was educated in local schools and graduated from the Cours Superieur, then went to Lewiston High School, graduating with the Class of 1945. On May 6, 1950, she married Roland H. Pomerleau. Mr. Pomerleau passed away in 1993.
She worked in different offices over the years, including several years in the accounts payable department of Etonic until her retirement.
A devoted wife and mother, she always put her family first. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, but for Juliana it was always “Ste. Croix.”
Survivors include a son, Bertrand Pomerleau of Lewiston; granddaughter, Laura Pomerlaeau; great-grandson, Corbin Pomerleau of Auburn; brother, Raynald Beaucage of Lewiston; sister, Lolitha Richard of Brooksville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Normand, who passed in 2009; a brother-in-law, Eloi Richard; and a sister-in-law, May Beaucage.
