Baked goods to tempt voters

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will hold a benefit bake sale Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Town Office.

The sale will start at 8 a.m. and continue until the food is gone. It will benefit the Chesterville Kitchen Fund.

Daughters of Isabella to meet

RUMFORD — St. Timothy’s Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Holy Savior Church Hall for a potluck supper with a monthly meeting to follow.

Chairpersons for the meeting are Angela Arsenault and Doris Bourret. Committee members are Tracy Arsenault, Mary Theriault, Joan LePage, and Janet Beaudet. The committee members will supply desserts. 

A memorial prayer will take place to remember sisters that have passed away. The Daughters will welcome new member, Cheryl Cox, and congratulate Patricia Hopkins on 57 years of membership.

Daughters should bring a hot dish or salad for the supper and nonperishable items, goods or cash donations for the Thanksgiving Food Raffle.

Keeping Your Keys driving class

FARMINGTON — A Keeping Your Keys driver awareness program will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Adult Education building at Mt. Blue High School.

The class for mature drivers involves one hour of classroom discussion, driving on a simulator, and testing driving skills in the parking lot with Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. as a passenger.

The course is for attendees’ own personal information, and those who do badly will not lose their driver’s licenses.

Completion of this course may help reduce vehicle insurance costs.

Registration is required by Tuesday, Nov. 8.
