1926 – 2016
LEWISTON — Frances P. Boisvert, 90, of Lewiston, passed Friday, Nov. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Frances was born in Lewiston on April 29, 1926, the daughter of Herbert T. and Mary Towle Cox. She attended school in Lewiston, and worked at the Continental Mill for several years and later at the Hillcrest Hatchery. She was married to Bertrand Boisvert, who passed away Oct. 17, 1986.
An avid gardener, she loved planting tomatoes and couldn’t wait for the first of the season. Frances loved her family and enjoyed going out for lunch with her sister, nieces and sister-in-law. She was a special mother and friend to many people. She could make anybody smile and was a true angel.
She is survived by three sons, Bertrand and wife, Rosemary, of Brunswick, Bernard of Las Vegas, and James of Lewiston; a sister, Patricia Poulin and husband, Jean L., of Sabattus; two grandsons, Ryan and Josh; two granddaughters, Jamie Vicaire and Melisa True; and great-grandchildren, Kymani, Jaelessa, Morgan, Marley, Memphis, Trevor, Paige, Cadie, Addison and Mallorie.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Barney Cox in 1986, William Cox in 1987, James Cox in 1989, Frank Cox in 1990 and Walter Cox in 2007; and three sisters, Shirley Bussiere in 1962, Geraldine Cox in 1996 and Mary Zobel in 1996.
