PARIS — The Novel Idea Book Club at the Paris Public Library will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, to discuss “Appalachia,” by Cynthia Rylant with water color illustrations by Barry Moser.

According to Goodreads, an Amazon company, “Appalachia: The Voices of Sleeping Birds,” brings a certain part of the country called Appalachia alive for young readers. Two award-winning artists, forever touched by their experiences growing up in this unique landscape, have teamed to create a quietly powerful and beautifully crafted portrait of life in a timeless place.

For a copy of the book, contact the library at 207-743-6994, e-mail: paris.public.library@msln.net.

A snack related to the selection will be available.

The Novel Idea Book Club is a group of adults and young adults reading children’s, junior and young adult literature.
