1920 – 2016

LEWISTON — Yvette Jeanette Rodrigue, 96, of Lewiston, passed away at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion on Monday, Nov. 7, where she resided since 2011.

The daughter of the late Charles and Yvonne Baril, she was born in Lewiston on July 15, 1920. Yvette was educated in Lewiston schools. On June 21, 1941, Yvette married Henry George Rodrigue at St. Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston. Mr. Rodrigue passed away May 24, 2006.

Yvette was employed at Bates Mill, Auerbach Shoe, Fancy Stitchers, Raytheon and in the family-owned business, H & M Construction, from 1974 to 1988, until her retirement. Yvette and Henry enjoyed many winters in Hawaii. She enjoyed music, reading, bingo, crafts and, above all, her family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Lunn and husband, Michael, of Lewiston, Anita St. Cyr and husband, Raymond, of Lewiston and Annette Clifford of Lisbon Falls; two sons, Marcel (Mark) and his wife, Claudette, of Lewiston and Maurice (Moe) and his wife, Sandy, of Stuart, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Cecil Landry and Lucienne Frechette Gagnon; and two brothers, Arthur and Roland Baril.
