Last meeting before craft fair
FARMINGTON — The third and final meeting of Franklin County Arts and Crafts Association before its December crafts fair will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the University of Maine at Farmington’s North Dining Hall.
Registrations for the Dec. 3 fair will be accepted starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a business session at 7 p.m.
The fair, a tradition that has run for more than 40 years, will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the UMF Olsen Student Center. All items are original creations of the participating crafters and artists.

Rec program gets kids moving
FARMINGTON — An after-school program for middle school students will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Farmington Recreation Department. There is no cost.
Open gym will include basketball, football, soccer, Frisbee and floor hockey. Other activities include games, air hockey and ping pong. The computer center and lounge will be open.
High school students are welcome on Fridays.
Parents whose children are participating should request the child take Bus 28 to the Community Center from Mt. Blue High School.

Clothing giveaway Nov. 21
FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks School will host a warm clothing giveaway from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 21, at the school at 508 Fairbanks Road/Route 4.
A variety of adult and children’s warm clothing, shoes and boots will be offered.
Donations for the giveaway are being accepted. Items within a 20-mile radius of Farmington will be picked up.

West Paris Historical Society to meet
PARIS — West Paris Historical Society will meet for a potluck dinner, short business meeting and game night at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21.
The last meeting was held on Oct. 19 with guest Pat Shearman from the Oxford County Registry of Deeds.
Gifts for Christmas for Kids must be brought in on or before the next meeting.

CareerCenter walk-ins in Fryeburg
FRYEBURG — The WMCA South Paris CareerCenter will host walk-in hours in Fryeburg to assist the community with finding job training services, registering on the Maine JobLink, resume help and interviewing tips.
Walk-in hours will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 22 and Dec. 20, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at the Fryeburg Public Library.

Men’s Cancer Support Group beginning
NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has announced a new support group for men.
The first meeting will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the center at 199 Main St. Meetings are being planned for the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Refreshments will be served.
Volunteer Vance Jordan of Waterford, an experienced caregiver, will facilitate the group.
Men who have been recently diagnosed, are in treatment or who are cancer survivors are invited to attend as well as men who are or have been caregivers.
