First Auburn Seniors to meet 

AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Carriage House in Lewiston for a Thanksgiving dinner. Attendees must have a ticket. 

Seniors will have an opportunity to travel to Portland to the Christmas Tree Shop and Olive Garden on Thursday, Nov. 17. The van will depart Pettengill Park at 10 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. The cost is $5, and seniors may register by contacting 207-333-6601, ext. 2108.

There were 53 members at the last meeting. Attendance winners were Donald Fyfe and Suzanne Blanchard; Pot of Gold winners, Mary Ray, Rita Gagnon and Nancy Hutchinson; and 50/50, Barbara Willis, Donald Fyfe and Joan Webb.

Sabattus Seniors Christmas party

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors Christmas party will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at Pelletier Hall on Webster Road.

The cost is $12, and reservations are required by contacting 207-375-4037 by Tuesday, Nov. 22. Payment is due prior to the party.

NEW GLOUCESTER — AMVETS Post 6 will hold its annual turkey raffle at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, on Route 100.

TURNER — A community gathering of Star Teachings of TEA dedicated to practicing kindness will take place Sunday, Nov. 20, at Bear Mountain Botanicals, 419 Turner Center Road.

The gathering is in circle format, where everyone is invited to share their stories, wisdom and questions in the space of openness and receiving.

Auburn Rec to see Bruins game

AUBURN — The city of Auburn Recreation Department will host a trip for families to see the Boston Bruins play the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, Dec. 10, in Boston.

Cost to attend is $150, which includes trip transportation from Portland. Game time is 7 p.m.

Space is limited for this trip, and registration is required by visiting the Auburn Rec web site or the office at 48 Pettengill Park Road.

Cribbage league lists winners

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on Nov. 10 were: first place, Gene Brown and Diane Torres; second, Bob Masse and Fran St.Pierre; third, Bob Laplante and Don Mailliette; fourth, Dick Dennis and Val Madore; and, fifth, Roland Bosse and Sue Fisher.

The Seniors play Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
