Local author Patricia Probert Gott of South Paris recently released her 19th book, “The Arab & the Donk.”
It’s written in rhyming text, and combines drama and humor in this vividly illustrated children’s story.
After being rescued from a kill-pen in Texas, a young donkey named Daisy is adopted as a companion and pasture mate to Sani, an Arabian horse in Maine. He tells his story, she tells hers, and they relate their tales of getting to know one another and togetherness.
Sani and Daisy are real and are owned by Gott.
She will be holding a book-signing on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Paris.
The book costs $10.95. It’s available by email at [email protected], Books N Things in Norway, Smedberg’s Farm Stand in Oxford, and at Amazon.com.
