LEWISTON — Terese Svoboda, poet and novelist, will read from her work at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Bates College’s Muskie Archives, 70 Campus Ave.

Svoboda is the author of five books of fiction and six of poetry. Her collected and new poems appear this month and her memoir, “Black Glasses Like Clark Kent,” won the Graywolf Nonfiction Prize.

The event is free and open to the public.
