1991 – 2016

LEWISTON — Kyle Justin Wilson, 25, passed away at his home in Lewiston on Tuesday, Nov. 8, due to complications of type 1 diabetes.

He was born in Norway, May 5, 1991, the son of Bethany Holman Miller and Douglas Ryan Wilson. Kyle attended elementary school in Rumford. He moved to Livermore Falls and was among the last class to graduate from Livermore Falls High School in June 2010. He attended the University of Southern Maine for two years, later giving up his educational dream to benefit his daughter, Kristina, who was born Oct. 1, 2011.

He then moved to Chicopee, Mass., to attend Westover Job Corps and graduated in June 2014 as a brick mason. Returning to Maine in 2015, he had most recently worked at Panolam Surface Systems of Auburn. He was a very hard worker, often working two jobs, and working six to seven days a week just to make ends meet, yet was still lacking sufficient health care to maintain his condition.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristina Jean Wilson, of Jay; his mother, Bethany, and stepfather, Keith Miller; brothers, John Gill, Jordan Gill of Jay; and sister, Destiny Powell, of Oxford; uncle, Andrew Holman; maternal grandparents, Carol Stevens of Canton, Robert and Diane Holman of Dixfield; father, Douglas and fiancée, Jennifer Foster, of Oxford; sisters, Morgan Wilson of Burlington, Vt., Lauren Wilson of Norway; and brother, Colin Foster of Oxford; paternal great-grandparent, Burna Wilson of Woodstock; grandparents, Betty and Michael McLaughlin of Norway and Warren and Marlene Wilson of Greenville. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

He was predeceased by baby brother Keith Edward Miller Jr.; second cousins, Jade and Dane Holman; maternal great-grandparents, Edna and Arlie Holman, and Alice and Hebert Stevens; paternal great-grandparents, Delwin Wilson Sr. and Annie and William Trask.
