AUBURN — Eliza Robbins of Whitefield is one of five Maine community college students who was awarded the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine Brian C. Thayer Memorial Scholarship.
Robbins is a student in the Building Construction Technology associate degree program at Central Maine Community College. She has completed courses in Hand and Power Tool Safety and Building Concepts, and is currently enrolled in Building Concepts II, Construction Site Surveying, and Construction Health and Safety.
The Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine was established in 1933 to foster the interests of those in the retail lumber and building materials industry. Affiliated with the Northeast Retail Lumber Association, the group provides educational and training opportunities for its members and scholarships for deserving students in the construction fields.
