PARIS — The First Congregational Church will host its annual Thanksgiving Friend’s Sunday at 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at 17 East Main St. Everyone is welcome.
The Rev. Don Mayberry said friendship, love, hope and encouragement are some of the things church members are thankful for. “We want to share these gifts with you, our neighbors,” he said.
The church’s aim is to make everyone feel welcome without feeling awkward. Attendees will not be asked to stand up and be introduced, but will simply be greeted at the door.
The group will sing the Thanksgiving hymns and pray as a community for the blessings enjoyed.
The church is handicapped-accessible, and a lift is located at the back door.
