1922 – 2016

FARMINGTON — Blanche M. Bilodeau, 94, a former resident of Jay and Livermore Falls, passed away, Friday, Nov. 18, at Edgewood Manor in Farmington, with her loving family by her side.

She was born Oct. 17, 1922, in St. Mathaud, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Rosaire Couture and Anaise (Shink) Couture. She attended school in Jay. On May 5, 1947, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married her husband of 31 years, Edward Bilodeau, he passed away, Dec. 19, 1978.

Blanche devoted her time to caring for her family and her home. She worked for more than 30 years for G.H. Bass in Wilton. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, and Ladies of St. Anne. Blanche enjoyed sewing, playing cards and time spent with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Michael J. Bilodeau and his wife, Barbara, of Jay, Matthew J. Bilodeau and his wife, Kathie, of Fayette; four grandchildren, Brent Bilodeau and his wife, Tammy, Joel Bilodeau and his wife, Kristy, Lindsay Duca and her husband, Christopher, and Adam Bilodeau; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan and Hannah Bilodeau, Gavin, Reagan and Orrin Bilodeau, and Wyatt and Owen Duca; brothers, Athanase and Gilles Couture; sisters, Marguerite Slovak, Muriel Desjardins, Georgette Sutton, Grace Hodge, Patricia Couture and Sister Mary Martha Couture.

She was predeceased by her husband; brothers, Toussainte, Emmanuel, Placide and Aurelien Couture; sisters, Ange Marie Couture, Cecile Dupont and Carmel Garneau.
