Gone are the days of professional broadcast journalism. Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley and Chet Huntley no longer enter our homes to inform us of the facts. They have been replaced with a group of self-indulgent spoiled brats.

The mainstream media are out of touch with reality. They are too busy shoveling whatever it is they are selling down people’s throats to listen. Panels of know-it-alls shout over one another as if the loudest wins. Tolerance is not in their vocabulary.

During election night, the mainstream broadcast media imploded. Giddy with delight, anchor after anchor claimed that Hillary Clinton was going to win. When they could no longer deny the reality of a Donald Trump upset, those same journalists seemed very distraught.

People can no longer rely on the media to inform the public of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. They no longer know the meaning of integrity. That is bad enough. However, the fact that broadcasters felt entitled to dictate to the American people who they should vote for is unconscionable.

Fear mongers flood the airwaves with gloom and doom based on lies and innuendos. After repeatedly telling people the sky would fall if Trump was elected, the mainstream media questions why people are afraid.

It is illegal to yell “fire” in a crowded public building that is not on fire. Why, then, is it OK for irresponsible broadcasters to incite panic in the streets?
