LISBON — Miranda Torrey will compete for the title of USA National Princess and for the chance to win scholarships during the USA National Miss Scholarship Pageant set for July 10 to 15, 2017, in Florida.

In August, Torrey competed against more than 80 other contestants at the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant. Her accomplishments included: Miss Downeast Maine Princess 2017, Miss Maine Junior Supermodel, Miss Maine Primary first runner-up, finalist for Miss Maine Junior Role Model, a Gold Presidential Award for volunteering and a participation award.

Torrey, 8, a third-grader at Lisbon Community School, began competing in pageants just over a year ago. She is the daughter of Rachel and Donald Torrey.
