WESTBROOK (AP) — Maine State Police say an autopsy shows the death of a woman who was found in her apartment in Westbrook over the weekend was caused by a medical event.

Officers discovered 42-year-old Michelle Minor at the Brown Street residence around 8:20 a.m. Sunday. Local police had said the circumstances appeared suspicious at the time.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Monday the death is no longer considered suspicious and there was no foul play involved.

McCausland didn’t elaborate on what type of medical event Minor experienced. A spokesman for the state medical examiner’s office says the case is “pending further studies.”
