Gallery 302, 112 Main St., Bridgton, announces that local printmaker Susan Sidwell will be the final guest artist of the year. A reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, with a demonstration of printmaking techniques by the artist one hour preceding the opening. Her interest in printmaking developed in Sidwell’s college years. Her technique involves cutting card stock to create paper cutouts with which she prints. Oil based ink, fine cotton papers and cotton fabrics and a full-size handcrank press complete Sidwell’s printing process. Her farm, her flowers and her natural surroundings provide the inspiration for her prints.
