FARMINGTON — Improvisation comedy troupe Teachers Lounge Mafia will perform Stale Milk & Sour Cookies 9 on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10, in the Mt. Blue Campus Forum.

Doors open at 7 p.m.; performances start at 7:30 p.m.

Through games similar to those seen on TV’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and more extended scenes and sketches, TLM uses audience suggestions to poke fun at everything — from awkward family gatherings and never-ending photo sessions to uncomfortable gift swaps and Black Friday meltdowns. Audiences can also expect a new edition of TLM Christmas Karaoke — twisted holiday parodies of the pop songs they know and love.

Stale Milk & Sour Cookies is more than just a tradition for TLM. It’s also the group’s ninth anniversary of performing comedy together. 2016 marked another exciting year for the group with performances throughout western, eastern and central Maine, as well several improv mindset workshops with health and education conferences, sports teams and civic organizations.

Throughout its history, TLM has raised funds for disaster relief, medical research, heating assistance and other charitable causes. This year, all proceeds will benefit the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area.

The show contains mature content.

Tickets are $10 and on sale now at United Way of the Tri-Valley Area, 232 Broadway. Remaining tickets will be available at the door. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly encouraged.
