1951 – 2016

RUMFORD — Mary DuPaul, 65, of Rumford, died Saturday, Dec. 3, at her home at Hope Haven in Rumford.

She was born in Rumford, Oct. 2, 1951, a daughter of Burton L. and Marion (Hall ) DuPaul and received her education at Hope Training School until she turned 18. She made her home at Horizon since August 1976. Mary worked at the Activity Center at the Shelter Workshop for many years, and saved her earnings to go to McDonald’s. She was interested in Native-American Folklore and artifacts, collected Indian dolls and enjoyed drumming. She loved family picnics, especially with Uncle Joe and Aunt Geraldine Arnold and had attended St. Athanasius-St. John’s Church in her younger years.

She is survived by her sisters, Gerry Boivin of Rumford and Carolyn Henry and her husband, Frank, of Lake Wales, Fla.; nieces, Lynn Ouellette and husband, Robert, of Winthrop, Summer Reynolds of Dixmont, Sherry Lynn DuPaul of Washington, and Kate DuPaul of Florida; nephews, Richard Henry and his wife, Rebecca, of Winthrop, Frank B. Henry and his partner, Lisa Teske, of Gardiner, Christopher Boivin and his wife, Amy, of Lewiston; Burton DuPaul and his wife, Erica, of Florida; many great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Burton L. DuPaul; brother-in-law, J. Eugene Boivin; and stepmother, Reba G. Gallup DuPaul.
