HANOVER, Pa. — Marie J.L. (Gagné) Salois, 71, of Hanover, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Hanover Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of Claude R. Salois; together they shared 49 years of marriage.
Born Oct. 25, 1945, in Lewiston, she was a daughter of the late Sylvio Sr. and Antoinnette (Albert) Gagné.
Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, a hairdresser for many years in New Britain, Conn., and Atlanta, Ga. More recently she worked for the Random House in Westminster, Md. In her free time, Marie loved to crochet and do her own patterns.
In addition to her husband, Marie is survived by two children, a daughter, Claudia Pistilli of Philadelphia, Pa., a son, Marc Salois and his wife, Kim, of Hanover, Pa.; five brothers, Sylvio Gagné Jr. of Lewiston, Oscar and Gerard Gagné, both of Auburn, Norman Gagné of Boston, Mass., Paul Gagné of York, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Richard Madore of Southington, Conn.; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Madore.
