NAPLES, Florida —
of Naples, Florida, formerly of Auburn, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 12 with their family in Naples. Party hosts were Linda Cohen, Debra Wood and Richard Gagne, children of the couple.
Mr. Gagne and the former Virginia Richard were married on Oct. 12, 1946, in Lewiston. Their children are Linda Cohen, Richard Gagne and Debra Wood. Their grandchildren are Lee Cohen, Robert Cohen, Derek Wood and Andrea Wood.
Original wedding attendants were groomsmen, Arthur Beauchesne, Dominique Gagne, father of Mr. Gagne, Israel Paradis, stepfather of Mrs. Gagne and bridesmaids, Lucille Marcoux and Annette Labonte.
Mrs. Gagne was formerly employed at Local 385 UFCW for many years and was a member of the Maine Music Society for more than 20 years. She was also a member of the Auburn Senior Citizens and Robin Dow Senior Citizens.
Mr. Gagne worked for 35 years at Sears, Roebuck and served in the military with the U.S. Air Force. He completed 46 missions and received many Bronze Stars and DFC Medals.
