BOOTHBAY HARBOR — The wedding of Carolyn Renee Hricko and Michael Igoe was held on Sept. 13 at Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor. The Rev. Edward C. Minderlein officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Ruth Hricko of Minot. The bridegroom is the son of Peter and Ruth Igoe of Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Decorations were in a rustic, natural and elegant setting with decorations designed and made by the couple and their families and friends. Flowers consisted of  tea and garden roses, rununculus, dahlias, delphinium and fresh lavender.

The bride wore an ivory lace gown with keyhole back. The sister of the bride, Emily Hricko, was the wedding planner.

Victoria Hricko served as maid of honor for her sister and Emily Hricko was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Eva Birk, Elizabeth Shaw and Emily Kern, friends, Kathleen Igoe, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and Margaret Osborne, sister of the bridegroom. Catherine Osborne, Julia Osborne, Lucy Igoe and Bridget Igoe, nieces, were flower girls.

Jonathan Igoe served as best man for his brother. Ushers were Scott Osborne, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, James Nylund, brother-in-law of the bride, and Armand Gottlieb, Matt Shuman and John Greene, friends. William Igoe, nephew, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor, after which the couple traveled to Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia. They are residing in Baltimore, Maryland.

The bride grew up in Minot and attended Poland Regional High School, Bowdoin College and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She works as a food system policy researcher at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future in Baltimore, focusing on food, agriculture, public health and the environment.

The bridegroom grew up in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. He attended the Lawrenceville School, Bowdoin College and the University of Montana. He works as a journalist in Washington, D.C., covering foreign policy and economic development.
