AUBURN — Melinda Kathleen Gross Youland, born Jan. 16, 1959, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 7.
Melinda was born in Auburn to Richard Gross and Theresa Marquis Gross. Melinda lived in Turner after graduation and worked at Stride Rite Shoes and Tim Pond Camps in Eustis; she also lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed the outdoors tremendously. She enjoyed hunting and fishing in her younger years.
Melinda touched the lives of many, both past and present. She will always be remembered by how much she cared for others.
She is survived by her mother, of Auburn; three siblings, David of Auburn, Daniel of Jacksonville, Fla. and Brenda Lapointe of Auburn; three nephews, Ira Gross of Kennebunk, Zackery Gross of Daphine, Ala., and Maxx Gross of Auburn, all of whom she loved dearly.
There will be a private family service.
