12/4/2016 Sgt. Brann assisted State Police with a pursuit which was reported to be on route 2 in Mercer headed towards New Sharon.  Brann waited at the county line, the vehicle’s driver was intoxicated and eventually stopped in Mercer.  

 

12/5/2016 Deputy Doucette assisted Farmington Police with an accident on the Town Farm Rd in Farmington.

 

12/5/2016 Deputy Doucette and Sgt. Hartley responded to a single vehicle accident on the West Mills Rd in Industry where a driver passed another vehicle then lost control on the snowy road conditions.  No injuries were reported.

12/5/2016 Deputy Doucette conducted at traffic stop on route 4 at the Farmington Strong town regarding a vehicle making an unsafe pass.  As a result of the stop, Todd Huff (42) of Strong was arrested for Operating after suspension.

 

12/5/2016 Deputy Morgan investigated a report of a theft at the Chesterville Corner store in Chesterville. During Morgan’s initial interview, it was revealed that the theft actually occurred on December 3rd at 5:45pm.  The suspect (a man who appeared to be in his late 40’s or early 50’s wearing a red and green colored ball cap, leather jacket, blue jeans and white shoes) stole multiple items which included a flashlight, cans of tuna, a toothbrush and bottles of water, soap and coffee.   The suspect’s vehicle appeared to be a gold colored Chrysler with Florida tags.  The suspect stated he was staying in the Eustis area.  Additional information has enabled Morgan to determine that the suspect is a transient named Michael Shaw 49 of South Paris.  A warrant for his arrest has been issued.

 

12/5/2016 Sgt. Brann responded to a 911 hang up complaint on the Carthage Rd in Carthage. It was determined to be a false alarm.

12/5/2016 Deputy Burke, Deputy Doucette responded to route 2 in New Sharon near Sandy River Farm Supply where a three vehicle accident was reported.  As a result of the investigation, Fred Coro (62) of Wilton who was one of the drivers was arrested for OUI and OAS.

12/6/2016 Deputy Scovil responded to a single vehicle accident on route 4 in Avon.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/6/2016 Deputy Madore investigated a civil issue between a landlord and former tenant on the Rand Rd in Industry.

 

12/6/2016 Deputy Scovil responded to an animal complaint on the Salem Rd in Salem twp.

12/6/2016 Deputy Madore responded to Cape Cod Hill School in New Sharon to assist Evergreen services.

 

12/7/2016 Sheriff Nichols responded to a single vehicle accident on Mile Hill Rd in New Sharon.  No injuries were reported.

12/7/2016 Sgt. Brann responded to a single vehicle accident on Lambert Hill Rd in Strong.  No injuries were reported.

12/7/2016 Deputy Madore and Deputy McCormick responded to a two vehicle accident on the Farmington Falls Rd in New Sharon.

 

12/7/2016 Deputy Madore investigated a theft of a Yamaha snow sled from a seasonal residence on Center Hill Rd in Weld.

 

12/8/2016 Detective Ken Charles, Chief Lowell and Lt. St. Laurent assisted Jay PD by recovering an ATV that had been stolen in Jay and found in Temple.

 

Deputies conducted 7 building checks during this time period, all were Secure.  Deputies also conducted 7 elder checks.
