1974 – 2016

PORTLAND — Rene J. Fontaine III, 42, of Farmington, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 17, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Augusta on Aug. 13, 1974, a son of Rene J. and Patty J. (Martin) Fontaine Jr. and was a graduate of Mt. Blue High School.

Rene was always seen with a smile on his face and was a huge fan of watching the World Wrestling Federation and the “Undertaker.” He followed football and basketball, the NFL, NBA and Mt. Blue High School teams.

He is survived by his mother, Patty Donald, and her husband, Larry, of New Sharon; his father, Rene Fontaine Jr. and his wife, Dorey, of Monmouth; brother, Shawn Fontaine of Farmington; sister, Gina Wilson of Augusta; niece, Kayleigh Fontaine and nephew, Jared Fontaine, both of Farmington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
