LEWISTON — Pauline G. Dugal, 88, of Lewiston died Monday, Dec. 19, at her residence with her loving family by her side following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 18, 1928, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Maine (Bergeron) St. Marie and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1947.
She married Gerald Dugal on June 23, 1951; and he died Dec. 23, 2002.
She was employed in retail stores and will be most remembered working at Breton’s and Bonneau’s markets here in Lewiston.
Pauline was an avid and devoted Red Sox fan. She enjoyed sewing, reading and taking her daily walks. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the best mother in the world to her children Paulette, Nicky, Ray, Bert, Celine, Jackie and Connie.
She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Dugal and his wife, Vivian, of Bedford, Mass, and Bertrand Dugal and his wife, Diane, of McKinney, Texas; four daughters, Monique Niva and her husband, Gregory, of Lewiston, Celine Dugal of Sabattus, Constance Ouellette and her husband, Paul, of Turner and Jacqueline Blais and her husband, Dan, of Lewiston; 22 grandchildren, Anne-Marie and Paul Gravel, Markus, Andrea and Candace Niva, Jessica and Scott Dugal, Matthew and Chris Dugal, Brian, Sarah and Shaun Sabine, Amy, Corey, Leah, Joshua and Caleb Ouellette, Lyndsay and Ross Blais, Jason and Amy Ouellette and Kyle Levasseur; 25 great-grandchildren, Dominick, Gabriella, Avery, Kendall, Rayven, Adreanna, Brady, Bentley, Sydney, Jack, Brynley, Mari Ella, Eva, Tegan, Mason, Jackson, Livia, Hope, Aubrey, Brennah, Alex, Audrey, Trey, Sawyer and Silas; one sister, Juliette Roberge and her husband, Phil, of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Jeannine St. Marie of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Dugal; a daughter, Paulette Gravel; two brothers, Normand and Roland; and three sisters, Annette, Germaine and Theresa.
