1931 – 2016
AUBURN — Vivian A. “Tippy” Tracy, formerly of Wilton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, at Clover Manor in Auburn.
Vivian was born in New Sharon on Sept. 4, 1931, the daughter of Linwood M. and Winnie L. Dore Currier. She married Earl L. Tracy Jr. on Feb. 18, 1950. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and cared for her five children along with several other children through the years, as she provided day care services.
Vivian was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Franklin Grange No. 50 where she held various offices. Vivian loved being a grandmother to her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader, enjoyed writing poetry, loved Mexican and Hawaiian music and took much pleasure in beautiful flowers and the colors of autumn.
Vivian is survived by her children, Barry Tracy of Temple, Blair Tracy and his wife, Vicky, of Wasilla, Alaska, Brenda Clark and her husband, Rob, of Cumberland, Brian Tracy and his wife, Nicky, of Lewiston, and her daughter, Barbara Girardin of Auburn; along with her grandchildren: Kristen Duffy and her husband, Jim, and their son, Edward; Dan Clark; Katelyn Tracy and her companion, Dominic Bellantoni; Andrew Tracy; Troy Tracy and his daughter, Alexis; Zach Tracy; and Hailey, Tom and Leighton Girardin; several special nieces and nephews; her brothers, Delmar Currier and Linwood “John” Currier and his wife, Alberta; sister, June Currier; sisters-in-law, Avis Mahoney and Ellen Currier.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Earl, in 2006; sisters, Kathleen “Kay” Nadeau and Mona Nadeau; and brother, A. Paul Currier.
