1956 – 2016
AUBURN — Roger L.P. Litalien, 60, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, at his home in Auburn after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
Roger was born in Lewiston on April 29, 1956, the son of Renaud and Jeannette (Chouinard) Litalien. Roger attended schools in Maine and Mount Assumption Institute in New York.
He spent time in the U.S. Army Reserve, worked for various local businesses and was an active member of several clubs and organizations in Lewiston. Roger enjoyed bowling, gardening and landscaping. He loved animals and frequently donated food and other essentials to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, where he devoted many hours to walking the dogs with his dear friend, Barbara Chasse. He enjoyed spending time at home with his two feline “kids,” working on his crossword puzzles, and socializing with his friends.
Roger is survived by his mother and three maternal cousins.
He was predeceased by his father and his wife of 17 years.
You are free to fly with the eagles now, Roger! You, your beautiful smile and your wonderful bear hugs, will be sadly missed by your mother, family and friends, but we know that your “Heart Will Go On and On.”
