Pantry seeks book donations
AUBURN — The High Street Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books for infants through teens.
Donations may be brought to the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.

Dementia, caregiver support group
LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus announced a new support group for persons in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder. The Family Caregiver Support Group will be offered in a separate meeting room at the same time and place.
The support groups are in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association and will begin in January.
The Early Stage Dementia Support Group offers information, emotional support and socialization among peers who face similar circumstances.
The Family Caregiver Support Group provides emotional, educational and social support for caregivers who are helping someone with dementia.
There is no fee, but preregistration is required.

Bridge club lists winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship on Dec. 19 were first, Norma and Rick Verrill; second, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; third, Jeanine Kivus and Mike Quinn; fourth, Rosemarie Goodwin and Paul Sherman; first in C, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; and second, Paul Clement and Roger Labbe.
Winners on Dec. 20 were, first, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; second, Nancy Farmer and Mike True; third, Les Buzzell and Mike Quinn.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed, and all bridge players are welcomed.
The Lewiston Armory will be closed on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
