1955 – 2016

LEWISTON — Doris Rita Boisvert Masse, 61, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston, died Saturday, Dec. 31, at d’Youville Pavilion following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on June 23, 1955, the daughter of Albert and Jeannine (Fournier) Boisvert. She was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School with the Class of 1973.

Doris loved the outdoors and working in her garden, enjoyed listening to and singing country music, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children, Leonard Masse Jr., Maria Masse and Larry Masse; two grandchildren, Ashalen Remington and Leo Masse; her mother, Jeannine Boisvert; three siblings, Suzanne Sirois, Roland Boisvert and his wife, Micheline “Mimi” and David Boisvert and his companion, Angela Elder; a sister-in-law, Dawn Boisvert; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Boisvert, who died in 2006; her father, Albert Boisvert, who died in 2010; and her husband, Leonard Masse Sr., who died in 2014.
