RAQ to meet Jan. 12

RUMFORD — Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street.

Those attending may give a show-and-tell about their current projects. All area quilters invited.

The meeting will be canceled if local schools are canceled due to weather.

Story hour at New Sharon library

NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will hold a story hour from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, Jan. 12 and 26.

There will be stories, crafts and snacks.

SeniorsPlus satellite office hours 

FARMINGTON — SeniorsPlus will hold office hours for its satellite office location at 218 Fairbanks Road.

Office hours for scheduled appointments will be from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Visitors will need to call 1-800-427-1241 to schedule an appointment.

Walk-in hours will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. These services are free and open to the public.
